Serena Yang - Founder & CEO - AILSI – AI AND LIFE SCIENCES INSTITUTE

Serena Yang is the founder and CEO of AILSI, with over a decade of experience in applying artificial intelligence to life sciences, particularly in drug discovery. Prior to founding AILSI, Serena gained valuable experience at CLSA, where she specialized in equity research, focusing on cutting-edge technology companies. She then transitioned to Roche’s R&D center as an AI researcher, where she played a key role in utilizing machine learning to enhance drug development and optimize research processes. Serena’s unique blend of scientific and business expertise makes her one of the leading experts at the intersection of AI and healthcare.

Serena holds a PhD in Quantum Chemistry and AI from the University of Hong Kong, and a double major bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from Osaka University, which has equipped her with strong interdisciplinary expertise. Recognized as an expert in AI-driven drug discovery and precision medicine, Serena has published numerous papers in top-tier scientific journals.
